*NEW* In-person Worship Service Guidelines for Re-gathering on June 28th

Based on CDC and state government recommendations regarding Covid-19, and due to recent outbreaks in churches in West Virginia, the Deacons were unified and unanimous in the following guidelines for in-person church services starting Sunday, June 28, 2020.

These decisions were made after much prayer and with the best interest in mind for the safety of our congregation and community. And while some of these guidelines may be difficult because they change what we previously knew as a normal worship service, the church leadership believes these guidelines are necessary at this time to promote the safety of all those who decide to attend. We will continue to reevaluate these guidelines on a weekly basis.

We look forward to re-gathering this Sunday with those who feel it is safe for them to do so, and we look forward to the day, Lord willing, when it will be safe for everyone to worship together again!

For those of you who are not feeling well, are displaying symptoms of Covid, or have knowingly been exposed to someone with Covid, we ask that you do not attend. If you have a pre-existing health condition or are over the age of 65, we ask that you prayerfully consider if it is wise for you to attend at this time.

Change is not easy, but we ask that you view these guidelines as an opportunity to show love and concern for those most vulnerable, and that you would follow these guidelines joyfully as God has asked us to be joyful in all things. We ask that God would enable us all to display a spirit that is in keeping with the example of Christ in Romans 15 and Philippians 2 that says we are not to please ourselves and to look to the interest of others. May God give us His grace to accomplish this as we worship Him this Sunday, whether in church or in our homes.

With that in mind, please review the following guidelines in preparation for this Sunday:

1. The new sanctuary doors will be the only doors unlocked for entrance and departure.

2. The doors will be unlocked and opened for entrance 10 minutes before the start of the service. (10:50 AM)

3. While waiting in line to enter the church, please remain 6-feet apart from all persons not in your family, or you can choose to remain in your car until you are able to enter the church without waiting in line.

4. Masks must be worn at all times when inside the church building. This is required for all people 10 years of age or older. However, masks are still recommended for those under 10, but it is up to the parents’ discretion. (If you are unable to wear a mask for an extended period of time for any reason, we ask that you continue to worship at home until you are either able to wear a mask or the guidelines for wearing masks changes.)

5. Please refrain from hugging or shaking hands.

6. Upon entering the church, please find a seat immediately. The rows of chairs and pews will already be spaced apart or roped off appropriately. Please do not sit in the roped off pews or in the front rows of the chairs or pews. Please only sit in rows with other family members.

7. The bathrooms next to the adult Sunday school room will be the only bathrooms available for use.

8. The nursery will be open for use but not attended. A mask must be worn when using the nursery.

9. No one will be permitted to enter the sound booth except for those working the sound.

10. Fellowship will be encouraged in the parking lot after the service. However, please move away from the door and out from under the carport to allow those who wish to leave room to do so.

11. During fellowship outside you may remove your mask if you choose to, however please remain 6-feet apart from non-family members.

12. Sunday school, youth group, and all other church-sanctioned activities have been paused until further notice. However, if you desire to fellowship with others in the congregation, please feel free to do so at your own homes. We encourage meeting outside and following social distance guidelines. If you want help with how to start a regular Bible study group at your home, please call Bruce or Amber and they would be happy to give you ideas!

We look forward to worshiping with you this Sunday whether in person or online. All Sunday worship services will be aired LIVE on Facebook at 11:00 AM every Sunday and will be available for later viewing on Facebook and on our website. Likewise, all Wednesday evening bible studies will be aired LIVE on Facebook at 7:00 PM every Wednesday and will be available for later viewing on Facebook and on our website.

If you are in need of anything, or have any questions or concerns regarding these guidelines, please do not hesitate to call a Deacon.

God is faithful. Let’s come together this Sunday as the body of Christ, whether in person or at home, and give Him the worship He so greatly deserves!
